How To Implement My Experience

Interactive experiences can be used almost anywhere in your marketing. Zembula experiences are optimized for use in four places; in an email, on a webpage, in an overlay, or in a Slide-in.

Here we will show you why you might want to use a Zembula experience in each of these places and how to do so!

Email:
  • The nitty gritty:
Zembula experiences are a natural fit for email marketing. They are fun, bite-sized pieces of content your email subscribers will devour. To create a Zembula experience within email you need to first design your email template. This will be the place you insert your linked image or gif. (Zembula experiences do not live inside of an email. This is because the javascript that makes them interactive messes with your deliverability and doesn’t work for all email clients.)
Next you need to embed your Zembula snippet inside your email code. This way your experience will dynamically update when you swap, change, or expire your experience.
Now all you have to do is add your email copy and send it off to your list. If you need help with writing copy check out this post, if you want tips on segmenting your list check out this post.
  • The good stuff:
The average CTR lift when using Zembula experiences in email is 4x.
Embedded on your website:
  • The nitty gritty:
You can make any webpage into an interactive experience with your Zembula content. You can try placing an experience in your website header, on your product pages, or on your blog sidebar.
Inline embedding your experience on your website requires a bit more design prep, as you will be designing around the experience. While sometimes challenging this opens up so many possibilities and many opportunities to be creative. For instance, you could create a seamless design where your experience blends in with the rest of your page. Or you could do some interesting things with transparency and a slide or push it.
Once you have designed around your experience. All you have to do is drop in the snippet and, you guessed it, you can update your experience without touching the code again.
  • The good stuff:
The average engagement with our experience in a website header is 20%.
In an overlay:
  • The nitty gritty:
Using an overlay is a great way to get your message front and center. The best part about it is that you don’t even have to change your website design to do so.
To use a Zembula experience in an overlay all you have to do is design and build your experience, then drop the snippet on the page(s) you wish to deploy your overlay.
  • The good stuff:
You can use our handy dandy API to make your overlay do things like add an item to cart, or apply a discount to a user’s purchase.
As a slide in:
  • The nitty gritty:
Much like the overlay, a slide-in offers an easy implementation that requires few to no design accommodations on your page.
Here just design your experience and choose how you want the Slide-in to display (i.e. how far down the page you want your visitor to scroll before it is triggered). Then paste the snippet code into the page you want to display it on. That’s it!
  • The good stuff:
Using an experience in a scroll box is a great way to get more email addresses. Use the customer acquisition feature in our platform to add an email capture. You can expect up to 3x the email addresses using this bad boy.
